What a better way to spend your time in Rishikesh than experiencing the fast growing sport of Kayaking and Rafting. Experience the free flowing Ganga waters as they enter the plains of India from the higher altitudes of the Himalayas. This makes it comfortable to raft for newbie’s and pros alike. We have various gradations ranging from the sedate Grade I to the more gratifying Grade II and III+. You have multiple options here to choose between a 2-3 hour expedition and one that lasts for multiple days.

Supervised at all times, the kayaking expedition is done with a trained instructor. The guests first go to the starting point by car and then they are instructed briefly to make them aware, before entering the waters. Please listen and follow the instructions well as they are mandatory for your safety. A meal is provided if it is in the package. Then each guest receives paddles, safety gear, helmets and life jackets and we start the trip. All the guests have to pass a small test before they begin kayaking. At all times you will be accompanied by a trained guide.

Short Duration Rafting at Rishikesh

Small but fun rafting trips are divided by the time and distance. Te smallest possible trip is 3 hours and the longest may take 5 hours or 36 km. alternatively a 16 km trip is also undertaken. AS we go to the start point by driving, we take a small training session and after a meal (if included) start the rafting. Situated below the Fateh Parvat, the Har ki Dun (valley of Gods) trek is a relatively easy one and one of the most beautiful ones in the Himalayas of Gharwal. Trekkers prefer to go via the Govind National Park. The beautiful birds, insects, and animals seen are a real sight to behold. You may be lucky to see the musk deer, wild goats and many more in addition to various glaciers, streams, and meadows and forests. Due to the trek being an easy one, it can be undertaken by anyone who is relatively fit.

DAY 1: Arrival at Sankri

We usually reach Sankri by evening. Depending upon whether we start from Rishikesh or Dehradun, the time may wary a bit. Sankri is located at an altitude of 2000m.After reaching; we rest and do some local sightseeing. About a 5 hours drive from Rishikesh, and about a 7 hour drive from Dehradun, Sankri is full of the snowy peaks of the Himalayan Mountains. DAY 2: Sankri to Seema via Taluka

Early in the morning, we start our day with a hearty breakfast and some chai. After which , the trek to Taluka commences. Taluka is a small settlement around 4 hours (12 km) away. Hamta Pass – Chandra Taal Lake Trek (7 Days)

Trekkers enjoy many types of terrain in this trek as we go from Hampta Pass in Kullu valley to Chandra Taal Lake in Spiti.This trek shows you landscapes like pine forests, glorious glaciers, green open grasslands, deserts and deep valleys. This trek can be undertaken by trekkers who are already acquainted with trekking.

Day 1. Manali to Jobra to Chika

Today is the first day of the trek, and we visit the Jobra village, from Manali. It is a lovely quaint village (altitude 3200m) and is covered by green forests of pine trees. We relax there for some time and drink in the sights. We may also be able to get some chai (tea) there. The through the forest we pass a lovely meadow and go towards Rani Nala (a small stream and pass through it. By evening, we reach Chika, where we set up our camps and stay for the night.

Day 2. Chika to Jwara to Balu Ka Gera

From Chika, the next morning, post breakfast we start walking towards Jwara. We walk by a small stream, and then we may require to cross it, which is not very difficult to do. We can achieve this without wetting ourselves. As we reach Jwara, a valley amidst the mountains, we can first spot the Dhauladhar mountain range. We continue walking as we gain altitude and then go to Balu-ka-Gera, literally meaning a bed of sand. This is due to the river bringing in rocks and sand. Night at camp.

Chandra Taal To Samudri Taapu Trek

Here is a short but tough trek you can undertake. The Samudri Taapu trek starting from Chandra Taal at an altitude of about 4300 m, this is considered a rough terrain trek. Amongst the many origins of Chandra river, Samudri Taapu is one of them. The Chandra River flows through the Spiti Valley before it becomes one with the mighty Chenab river. It is an ideal trek if you love adventure and want to have a short but somewhat tough trek.

DAY1: Lake to Glacier. 

Walking from the Chander Taal , we trek along the Chandra River, as it flows to the left side. The terrain can be rocky at times and a little unstable, and is also laced with streams and ridges. You may meet some Gaddi shepherds on the way. As we walk for about 4-5 hours, we reach the Chandra river origin at the end of the ridge. We halt here for lunch. After some rest, we can cross the small plateau and set up the camp site at a little distance from the glacier. As we walk to the glacier, we can explore the area. Sleeping in the tents is an added attraction under the night sky.

DAY 2: Return Trek.

We have two options to come back. A walk back to the same route of the ropeway , the local shepherds use. The ropeway can be dangerous at times and is not recommended especially if you are alone or carrying a heavy load. Then, we climb a dry waterfall, active only during the rainy season. Then, we ride to the Neer Gaddu or Gaddu Chatti waterfalls which boast of a wonderful landscape.

After you bask in the glory of the rising sun, we can trek or walk to the Kunjapuri temple located at an altitude of 1600m and enjoy breakfast there.

We now walk to Laxman Jhula , a 13 km distance from Kunjapuri, as we encounter wonderful natural scenic sights and views such as the Neer Gadu waterfall and spot beautiful birds.
