Our first day in Delhi begins with visits to the Delhi landmarks. We see Lotus Temple, a Baha’i house of worship built in 1986 and a 72 m tall tower built in 1193, the Qutub Minar. By noon we begin the food tour of Delhi, starting with old Delhi. A great way to be introduced to Indian cuisine and culture, this trip will set the mood for the rest of the trip. You will get to sample about 15-18 varieties of Food dishes each with it’s own place in cuisine of Delhi, as you visit 10 or more food joints in Old Delhi, Central and South Delhi. The food joint that you will visit have been there since many generations and are known for their quality and taste of the food that they provide. You will visit a places which are 110 to 40 years old. This trip in the old part of Delhi will find you walking through the narrow medieval streets of Delhi. Here you will sample many Indian delicacies like samosa, lassi, butter chicken, kulfi (Indian ice cream), melt in the mouth kebabs and many such variants. [...]

In December 2015, we will have 8 days long Food Tour Of India With A Chef which will cover cuisines and sights of Delhi, Agra, Jaipur and Jodhpur . The culinary activities includes food tours, cooking classes, introduction to spices and much more, all done by local expert chefs. Additionally, the food tour will cover sightseeing of all major monuments in every city p
lus a few other interesting activities like playtime with elephants, desert safaris, night stay in campsite and more. This food tour of India will be fast paced and  suitable for foodies who wish to do experience the best of India in shortest time possible. This food tour with a chef will also have a professional photographer accompanying the guests during who will take their pictures as well as help them take some good ones wherever required in Delhi and 1-2 other places.

Check in on 14th December, New Delhi

The day before official start of food tour, i.e. on 14th December the guests will be picked up from airport or some other location in city and transported to their hotel in Delhi where they will stay for 2 more nights. Chef Rajeev will meet them there and take them on a gourmet dinner in one of top restaurants in Delhi. The dinner will be an occasion to be introduced to fellow travellers and get some information related to the tour like what to expect, what to wear and so on.

India Food Tour with a Chef: December 2014

Bookings for second group food tour of India with a chef are open now. This food tour will cover New Delhi, Agra, Jaipur, Osian (Jodhpur) and a few other lesser known attractions like Sambhar Lake on the way. There will be a lot of culinary activities like food walks in New Delhi, Jaipur, cooking classes, spice demonstrations, traditional cooking with villagers in addition to lots of fun and adventure with activities like camel safari in desert, playing and riding elephants, cultural song, dance evenings and more. It will be a fast paced culinary tour with lots to see, do, eat and cook. The following itinerary is the one for December, starting on 16th and ending on 23rd. If you are visiting India on different dates, we are arranging similar tours in January, February and March next year too.

The day before official start of culinary tour, i.e. on 15th December the guests will be picked up from airport or some other location in city and transported to their hotel in Delhi where they will stay for 2 more nights. There are limited number of tours in a year, no more than 6 and each tour has a limited number of slots ranging from 6 to 15. There are qualified guides for each of the activities and sightseeing locations and a qualified chef to make sure that the guests enjoy the culinary pat of the travel package too.To provide the optimum India experience, most of hotels included in the tour are heritage properties, mostly old mansions or forts and palaces, but equipped with all the modern amenities. Most of the chef tours cover some exotic locations which are usually not included in most run of the mill packaged tours.
